4+y = -5----given

y= -9 ----------(1)

4+z = m ----------(2)

n+z=1 ---(3)

(2) - (3) 

4-n = m-1

m+n=5

Took a little bit more round about way to arrive at the same answer as Trivikram

I took it this way:

m = z+4
n = y+e

m+n = z+4+y+e 
 = z+e+4+y
 = 10+4+y
 = 10 + (-5)
 = 5


Done..

Hmm - came to around 4.9 to 5.0 thru approximation. So E.

Amit - why not post this in a separate q? 

sqrt4 = 2 obviously, plus cube root of 4, which is greater than 1, plus fourth root of 4, again which is greater than 1. Add all together and pretty clear that the answer is greater than 4...
