Line n and p lie in the xy plane. Is the slope of line n less than the slope of line p?
1) line n and p intersect at point (5, 1) Obviously INSUFF
2) Y intercept of line n is greater than the Y intercept of line p. INSUFF..
The intercept has no bearing on the slope
Combined:
y = m1x + c ---(1)
y = m2x + c +k ---(2)
1 -2 :
m1x - m2x + c -c -k = 0
x(m1 -m2) = k
m1 - m2 = k/5
if m1 and m2 are positive then m1 > m2
if m1 and m2 are negative then m2 > m1
so INSUFF
Answer E??
