(x+y)^2 - (x-y)^2 = (x + y - x + y)(x + y + x -y) = 4xy = 4

The answer is 2^4 = 16.

Soln:

XY = 1 and we need to find (2^((X+Y)^2))/(2^((X-Y)^2))

(2^((X+Y)^2)/(2^((X-Y)^2)

= 2^(((X+Y)^2)-(((X-Y)^2))
= 2^((X+Y-X+Y)(X+Y+X-Y))
= 2^((2Y)(2X))
= 2^(4XY)
= 2^4
= 16
