Thanks for the excellent post.

I have a question regarding QP-1: can we integrate the new question pool into those 2 practice exams or are these QP-1 only available in practice mode.

Thanks.

It looks like the QPack is only for practice.

Well then I just hope in practice mode it throws up a balanced mix of questions (esp. in verbal), if one simulates an exam like set of 37/41 questions.

Hi,
I hope I am not repeating this question. Can somebody please review the Question Pack 1. Can we use it as part of the practice exam? If not can we simulate a practice exam using this question pack our-self? How hard are the questions in this Question pack?

Thank You for your time,

Can it be possible that the algorithm to calculate the scores at the end of each exam may have changed so that, even with same set of default questions, the test takers can NOW get a more accurate practice exam score?

mvamsee,

I am working on the problems right now. I will keep posting the a review on the bunch of problems at a time.

The problem is there is not way to review all the problems I worked only. I can review only the one I answered wrong.

I am trying to do it as soon as I can. It may take till Sunday.

No. I haven't seen any options to use it to simulate an exam.

There is a exam mode vs. practice mode. I haven't tried the exam mode yet. I will try it and let you know ASAP.

Quote:

I did 10 of each type of questions. Although the questions are of good quality, nothing seemed extra ordinary.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. The stat is provided as a percent of questions answered correctly. Here is a screenshot.

I think you can use it now. It does include Integrated Reasoning.

I've couple of questions about gmat prep2.0
1) Whats the difference between two practice modes - study and exam?
Is "exam" mode timed? If so, is the time alloted to certain number of practice questions configurable?

2) Is it possible to reset a subset of questions that you already answered and practice them again?

Nice and detailed review on the new GMATPrep 2.0 Software. We can see that it has more uses and purposes than the previous GMATPrep

Both modes are timed. I thought the 'exam' mode will run a 'total time', whereas the 'practice' mode will run a 'per question time'. However, I did not notice anything. I may have missed the difference. But I keep an eye specially on this issue.

I was looking for the such an option. Unfortunately, I could not find one. The reset option would make my job so much easier. I would just run down the questions, cataloging every one of them and then reset the set to practice again in a slower pace.

Sorry everyone! I wanted to finish the review by Sunday. But the taxes took precedence. I am done with about 50% of it. Hope to finish it by Wednesday.

I have given up on the RCs. The RC questions do not come as a bunch. If you select 5 questions to practice, you may see 5 different passages.

To avoid the problem I selected 39 questions to practice and skipped the passage that I don't want to work now. However, it still thrown enough variation to defeat the purpose. :(

It means I will only do a partial report on RC. I will send an email to GMAC to fix the problem.

I finished SC and CR tonight. I finished about 70% of PS and DS. Hopefully, I will post the PS and DS by Friday.

Here is a rough analysis of SC and CR. These are by no means complete or accurate. I will revise and post a more accurate analysis.

1. SC questions are very old. I assumed that the question ID reflects the creation time of the question. I found that the SC questions in QPack1 range from 1000 to 3000, whereas the default set contains questions in the 7000 range.

2. The above point is not true for CR. Although difficulty did not vary much, the quality of the questions are very good.
