Hey everyone, 4 days left till the Dday and I tried the second GMAT Prep exam which is considered the kind of test most similar to the real one. So I ended up the test with a good premonition due to the fact that i felt confident especially in V, but after results screen showed up I discovered I got 590 (Q 48, V 24). I don't understand the reason of that low score on Q even tho I got only 14 questions incorrect out of 41 (6/10 in the first ten questions but not in a row). Anyone got an explanation to this fact? I got like 7-8 questions right in a row in the 20-30 questions, I really don't have any clue.

6 incorrect answers in the first 10 questions will put you in a tough position to recover from. You've essentially lost several opportunities to face higher level questions by making so many mistakes up front. The scoring algorithm is extremely sensitive to multiple mistakes made during the initial phase of the test.

Don't panic at this stage. This will affect your confidence, energy level and concentration on the D-day. Gmat is quite liberal in case of quantitative section more than verbal one. Also main rule on GMAT is quality over quantity. Try to learn the concepts behind the incorrect questions. 48 indicates you have really good basics. So don't worry and just revise the basics in last few days. Do not give another exam at present stage. All the best.
