Thanks guys, that's how I solved it too. I assumed the triangle was a right triangle but could not remember why that was the rule. Thanks

Angle formed on the half circle is always 90 deg.

2*(1/2*1*sqrt(3)/2)=sqrt(3)/2 -> B
