I went to Borders yesterday to take GMATPrep version exam 1. When I was at 37th question in verbal, my laptop was running out of battery and it automatically went to standby mode. When I powered my laptop it was too late and the exam ended and my score was 660(Q48, V33).
I am totally surprised on how this algorithm works. Definitely initial questions have more significance when compared with later questions. I got 13 questions wrong in Math only 4 wrong from Q1 to 22 but 9 wrong from 23 to 37. but still managed to get a score of Q48. I ran out of time and I had to guess my last 5 questions.
Same story with verbal as well. 11 wrong out of 37 questions ( i could not complete all 41). Q 1-30 6 questions wrong. 31 to 37 - 5 questions wrong.
Please guestimate and let me know how much I would have possibly scored if I did manage to complete the verbal section.

well the wrongs you got in quant might have been the harder questions so they didnt count as more as the easier ones. On the verbal side I heard you get 10 pt deduction for every question you skipped so if you skipped 4 you *might* have had up to 40 pts increase depending if you got them right?

You would have had 36 or 37 (depends if 37 is counted or not) on Verbal if you had answered those questions, just if you wanted to know
