Is GMATPrep different from PP??

I asked the same questions a few weeks back and nobody replied :cry:

But after reading some of the Experiences from test-takers, it seems that they are different. What's the difference? For me - I could find GMATprep but I couldn't find PowerPrep.

Yes, the two are different.

GMATPrep is made available recently & has different (rather better looking) appearance. 

PowerPrep is old software available, not sure if it is still available on mba.com, or I can send the setup to you. Let me know.

One difference I notice is GMATPrep has bugs.. It's not as robust as powerprep

Another difference:

GMATPrep - One can review all the questions on the test unlike in powerprep, where the extra (bonus) questions are not displayed for post test review.

However, GMATPrep does not provide an explanation for the correct answer choice (in the full length practice tests). It just specifies what the correct answer is.

GMATPrep is the official software by the new vendor Pearson VUE/ ACT.

PowerPrep was the official software by the old vendor ETS.

Yes, they are different. PowerPrep questions are from Official Guide 10, so be careful. If you have already done with OG10, better don't take PP tests.

can someone upload or email the setup file for powerprep? Powerprep is no longer available at MBA.com. I could only get the GMATprep, the new testing software.

powerprep is easier compared to gmatprep.. from my experience...

Hey guys,
GMATPrep was a pretty good tool. It looks EXACTLY like the actual test, and I even had some very similar questions. In fact, my last verbal question was word for word identical to a GMATPrep question I had the day before!
I'd recommend it. I didn't use powerprep, but since the GMAT is now administered by PearsonVue and not ETS - I figured I'd use the official tool. 
To supplement, I studied Kaplan as well.
