D seems to be the correct answer. If males loose their collars more frequently than the females, then the fertlity of males rather than of females, might be the problem.

If the other reason for tranquilising is that the rhino is not producing any offspring and for studying specifically this, it is being darted. If this is the other reason, then it effectively tells that the tranquilising drug is not the culprit and so C is a probable answer.

But the option C should not ask "how many times". It should ask a question pertaing specifically to "other reason"

I was confused b/w B and C and I moved ahead by clicking on B, but I think C is better.
