Hi,
I gave my first GMATPrep test to get an idea about the questions. I did not prepare anything for the test (except that I knew about the pattern of Quant and RC questions). It was a long test but luckily, I finished it in time. My scores are IR-4, Q - 47, -V 18. In Quant, I did few silly mistakes and sometimes I was not able to recall few principles. I believe, it will get easier with a bit of practice. Most troubling section was RC,
as I am not a native English speaker and I hardly do any reading other than some blogs (written in a very simple manner), it was really hard for me to comprehend the useful data from RCs. Sometimes I had to go through the passage a couple of times to get a grasp on it.
To rectify this problem, I am starting to read a lot of business magazines, as well as science articles online to get a better RC score. I will go through
MGMAT guides first, in order to understand the principles and various strategies.
Today is 23 March 14 and I will appear for GMAT in either August 14 or September 14, as I want to apply in Round-1 in various colleges to get scholarships if I could. So, it gives me about 4 months time to prepare. I am a final year UG student from India. So, there is a lot of load of projects and exams in this semester. Also, I have not joined any coaching classes for GMAT. Should I join those?
Any tips to improve my study plans would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks
