Hi gdawli,
Assuming that you took your 2nd CAT in a realistic fashion (and you did not know any of the answers in advance of taking that CAT), then you likely did earn that Q47 (statistically-speaking, it would be difficult to "luck your way" into that type of result). However, that one result is not enough to guarantee you a similar Score on another CAT - unless you do all of the necessary work to EARN that Score.
"Review" is an exceptionally important part of the GMAT training process; your ability to define WHY you're getting questions wrong is essential to defining the areas that you need to work on (and the specific things that you need to 'fix'). As such, I'd like to know a bit more about your last CAT. If you filled out a full Mistake Tracker, then you can feel free to email it to me. If you have not done that analysis, then there are some basic questions that you should look to try to answer (and the more EXACT you can be with your answers, the better):
After reviewing each section of this recent CAT, how many questions did you get wrong....
1) Because of a silly/little mistake?
2) Because there was some math/verbal that you just could not remember how to do?
3) Because the question was too hard?
4) Because you were low on time and had to guess?
5) How many Verbal questions did you 'narrow down to 2 choices' but still get wrong?
You don't necessarily have to push back your Test Date just yet, but it's certainly something to consider. Once you've completed the analysis of this CAT, we'll be in a better position to determine whether you should reschedule or not.
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
