harishkunal
Hello all,
I am really sorry to act this way to you all, but I'm having a panic attack and I really need a mentor to guide me through my GMAT preparation.
I am planning to start my MBA by next year (2014).
However, I have not started with my preparations yet.
I intend to give my GMAT by October. I am going to follow the study plans suggested by GMATClub.
Can you please answer the following questions for me?
1) If I do get a good score in my GMAT, will I be able to apply to most business schools even after October? The applications deadline forum shows the deadlines for most universities end by July and I want to start doing my MBA as early as possible.
2) I am inclined towards getting a dual degree. Like, either an MS+MBA or MBA+MBA. Do schools which offer these courses accept students in the 600-660 score range?
Thanks for your help.
Hi harishkunal, let me jump right to the chase:
1) yes
2) yes
Okay, hopefully you feel a little better now!
You're planning on starting your MBA in 2014. If you mean January then October is about as late as you can apply, but if you mean September then you have lots of time. Just figure that you can't apply today and go tomorrow, the process takes a couple of months. If you're aiming for January, then you probably need to make sure you do everything in the next 4 months or so, if it's fall then you have a lot more time. Either way, 4 months is more than enough time to get everything done.
As for your double degree question, this will really vary from school to school. You probably have a few schools you're targeting, so feel free to peruse their websites and see what is offered and the scores they expect. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding out what you need. There are recruiters who might know more, but if you spend a couple of hours investigating and maybe sending out a couple of e-mails, you'll get the answers you want.
Bottom line: Relax, there's plenty of time and you can get everything you need pretty quick

Hope this helps
