Hi Hjort,

Could you please help me choose a good finance program. Post MBA , I want to get into IB, most likely in sales and trading. I am a bond trader currently and would like to continue working in the trading field.

I have already applied or narrowed down to Columbia/NYU/Cornell/Duke.
I need to add two schools to my list with some safety schools. I am looking at Virginia/UNC/kelley . Could you suggest some choices??

My GMAt score is 720 and have 8+ years of work experience.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

While you do not want a portfolio too heavily weighted toward the ultra elites, you need very compelling reasons to exclude Chicago and Penn.

Some other schools to consider include Yale, Dartmouth, and UCLA.

UVA could go either way- it is not a bad choice in its own right but there are better elite cluster schools to fill this slot in your portfolio.

UNC is a good choice.

Indiana is a good school but I doubt it adds much to your portfolio. Among the near elites I would take a closer look at Georgetown.
