Hi ,
I took GMAT today and scored 580 . 48 Q and 22 V
. I was highly disappointed. My verbal was always weak , but i spent most of my study time on verbal only and still at the same point where i was 2 months back, i would say even worse than my practice test verbal scores . I must confess that i didn't follow any particular strategy to improve it and never scored good in verbal section of any practice test.
I want to get into University of Irvine or University of Davis, California, USA. Thus, I am looking for a score of 680. Now, I want to retake GMAT just after one month from now. Can someone please guide me that how can i improve my verbal . Is there any online course which is really good and helpful for non-native English speakers (as i am an Indian).
Please suggest that is one month sufficient to improve your English, and kindly let me know if you know any source that can help me to improve my verbal section.

Sorry to hear about your lower than expected score on the verbal section. If you're targetting UCI and UC Davis, you do need around 680.
I think having the right resources is important for getting the desired score. However, what is also as important is how you utilize those resources.
I also had a bad verbal score on the first attempt;however, on the second attempt, I was able to improve substantially. All that was possible because I followed the right way or what you call the right strategy. You may wanna go through the "Retaking the GMAT" thread in this thread .You'll get valuable inputs there.
Regarding your question whether it is doable in one month or not,it depends on what you make of this one month and what are your application deadlines like.If you're planning to apply in the current admission cycle, then you may wanna take a go at it ;otherwise you may want to prepare for 2-3 months and then give it a shot again.

You got a good Q score. So half battle won.
Cheer up. So dont feel so down. You havent mentioned the resources you have used. Unlike Q score,Its hard to increase your V score dramatically in a months time. I would suggest to chalk down a 2-3 months preparation and start working on it.
I am presently using e-gmat SC online course. My personal opinion is that it has helped me in attacking the SC in a different way. Presently preparing for my retake. You might want to have a look at it. There is a free for all section also in that.
I am also Using Powerscore RC and Powerscore CR bible books. Aristotle RC 99, Manhattan SC and Aristotle SC Grail are also good material for Verbal. Try having a look at them.

.and i had to guess cause leaving unanswered questions was worse.i hoped that i would do better with time in real exam but time problem hit me again in real exam and i made guess in last 10-15 questions in each section.now i think second time i can beat gmat cause i know my problem and how to overcome it!all in all b-school which i'm going apply to requires 550 gmat score.in this point of view not everything is too bad.but i'm not sure about my chance.how do you think.i this score will be enough for me?do i have a chance?or should i wait,tkae gmat again and apply next semester?
