All,
It was a gruelling experience for a month and a half that got over on saturday 5/13. Took the test early morning at 8am in San Jose. I was amazed at the process involved in taking the test. The scores were:
Quant: 46
Verbal: 34
Final: 650
I decided in late march that I should take GMAT. Started off with the Kaplan book I bought last year but never got motivation to get into it. It was kind of hard to look back again to Math after so many years although I just love it.
Anyways, this is what I did:
- Kaplan 2006: Read almost all of the book. Solved the practice exercises and test. Took some tests present on the cd.
-
OG Quant v.11: Bought it two weeks before the exam. Solved all the PS and DS questions.
- Princeton Review Math Workout: Visited Borders on a saturday and spent a whole day checking out the Math Workout book. Thank you Borders.
- gmatclub.com: Downloaded documents uploaded by different people. I wish someone could put them in one place. That apart, thanks so much to everybody on this site!! You are guys are doing a heckuva job
Really, the dedication by the people who contribute here is amazing. I could access efforts of so many people in one place. Great job, team.
- other sites on internet: our good and an indispensable friend - googol (which was the actual name of google) helped me get information from other sites. For instance, this thread had some interesting links

Now, it is the time for getting to the schools. I will try local schools. Don't have much latitude to think about schools outside SF Bay Area. Thats married life.
Thanks again and good luck to test takers.
