Hi All,
Just came back after giving the GMAT today, i've got a 650 (Q40, V39). This was a cold attempt as i registered for this a long time ago and totally forgot till a couple of days back (why waste all the money cancelling the test, so figured might as well make the best of the experience and to know where i stood). Though i know that this wasn't necessarily the worst score ever, i wanna improve my score.
I'm a total newbie to this world (all i did was create an account a long time ago!), so would appreciate if you guys can give me any tips on how to improve my score and get into the 700+ category.
Timelines are flexible as i'm looking for admissions for 2019-2020, so i guess i have got at least till Aug to prepare well. Any advises please?

Hi Dunkirk,
A 650 is a really strong "cold" score on the Official GMAT. You're clearly a strong critical thinker, so it likely won't be too difficult to hone your skills and hit 700+. There are also a variety of different ways that you can study for the GMAT - and you've given yourself plenty of time to study, which is good. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and goals:
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

Thanks for the revert. Answers to your questions
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School? ( Planning to apply for the 1st rounds for the 2019-2020 intake) which i believe happens around the Aug mark. So realistically I'd like to apply by July'18 (gives me 3.5 moths)
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to? (Judge, IE, IMD, Said, Insead, LBS) are the one's i'm currently looking at.
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week? (12 hrs a week till the 1st week of May, post which i'd be able to ramp it up to around 20 hrs a week)
