Got An Admit - Thanks To All Of You!

Question

Just got an email from Stern telling me I've been accepted. Although I'm still leaning towards BU w/ a full-ride, I went ahead and threw in a Stern avatar so I can relish the accomplishment, and maybe I can still convince myself to go there.

There are so many little things that come up in the course of applying, so many things that you need to know. And most of them aren't intuitive, and many of them aren't in Montauk's book. But GMATClub has literally answered every question I've had. Random things about gifts for recommenders or how to follow-up after an interview or any number of other things. It's been great being able to turn to the wisdom of the crowds with you all. So I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks!

I would say it is too difficult to turn down stern for BU...

although bu has a great ms.mba program, stern is a top 10 MBA program with so much more and better opportunities available after graduation!

I can identify with your decision. While I am only on Stern's WL, I too would probably turn them down because Wisconsin has offered a partial scholarship. I figured Stern would be about 50k + more expensive.

Praet - Funny, I was reading an old email the other day, something I wrote to a friend about a year ago and in the email I said, "I'm about to start studying for the GMATs." Kind of like Bush and the "internets." So yeah, I've learned not to call the test the "GMATs" and I've learned a ton of other stuff from this site that I'll be willing to share w/ the next crop of applicants.
