Hi guys,
I am writing this post for two main reasons : sharing my experience and asking you some advices.
Even if I have an international and strong academical profile I got rejected yester from HEC Paris MiM , which was my top choice. Since my profile I am pretty sure that the problem were the facts I applied last round and average GRE. I still have an interview for ESCP in 1 week but I am not sure if I want to study there.
There are great chances that I am going to take a gap year to study a third language , do two internships and most importantly apply early access for various masters (LBS , LSE , HEC and St.Gallen) --> my career goal is IB or corporate finance
My main concerns are :
- GMAT / GRE --> I studied GMAT for 2 months and took it twice with a low 525 focus , then I took the GRE 318 (161q , 157v). Since I understood I am not naturally good at this test I am afraid that if I do not find good tutors or courses for this summer (please suggest me some) my GMAT is not going to move and re-taking the GRE could be dangerous because probably BS see it worse than the GMAT (?)
-Finding internships in Investment Banking / M&A Consulting , this can be even tougher because with just a bachelor degree from an Italian public school , recruiters would probably not even consider my application.
Please tell me what , considering my profile , you think : Should I study at ESCP ? Should I take a gap year and risk it all?
Thanks in advance to all of you guys!
