Hello All,
I gave my GMAT after almost 7 months of prep and scored around 565 in my second attempt, I'm open to both MBA and MiM Programme and was thinking if I stand a chance in any of the good tier 2/3 colleges, I also have 2 years of work ex in an IB company.
Or would be it be advisable for me to prep for GRE and give that a shot as well as I'm aware that quant is my weak area.

A 565 GMAT likely falls outside of the middle 80% of even the tier 2 and 3 schools, though you should confirm by looking at their class profiles as there is some variation.
The schools are test agnostic and do not look less favorably on one test versus another. So, given that, it makes sense for you to at least take a practice GRE cold to see if that test feels more accessible to you. It's fine if taking the practice test cold doesn't give a high score because it is without any prep - it just gives you a baseline idea as to whether or not that is the better test for you. Then, you can prep accordingly. Also, look to see if your target schools accept the EA. If they do, then you should take a practice EA as well so you know if that test is right for you.

While many people switch from GMAT to GRE, there are a few things you could consider:
1. As you mentioned, quant is your weaker area. Maybe you could try working on the concepts where you struggle and bridge the gaps, because you could definitely do very well if you have the right guidance and resources. We have so many tutors and webinars on GMAT Club YouTube; you could check them out. You could also reach out to experts for guidance.
2. Evaluate whether there is anything else you could fix that would help you improve your GMAT score. Depending on the resources, time, and energy available to you, you could still give it another shot.
3. Check out your target schools' median GMAT score and reach out to Admission Consultancies or peers who could help you evaluate your profile and give suggestions on what score you should target and what works and what does not.
That being said, it still comes down to you to decide to switch. So definitely do a good evaluation of what else you can do and how that could help you improve your score.
P.S. The more clarity on what you want, the better you can decide.
