Hi all,

I bought

MGMAT’s individual study package. A tutor said she likes to have her students go through Manhattan’s GRE six books on math first, and then move to the GMAT prep after. She only does this for candidates who are not strong in math. I fall into that category, but it’s just because I haven’t taken a math since undergrad.

What are people’s thoughts on this approach? I’m thinking about buying the six book package off of Manhattan’s GRE store for $100.

Also, I was told about several other books on here that would be super helpful in cracking 700 so I appreciate that.

I don't think it's necessary, as there is a lot of GMAT material available, but also I don't see how it would hurt to do some GRE quant. Both tests need basically the same quantitative concepts to be covered, so GRE practice could benefit you. Just make sure that you have enough time to become familiar with GMAT questions and formats (especially DS).
