GRE or GMAT for MSF? [#permalink]

Hi,

I am targeting US schools for MSF courses(not MFin) and a few from Europe (HEC,LSE). I think i am more comfortable scoring at GRE than GMAT. But as i see here, most have GMAT score.
1)Does giving GRE put me at a disadvantage vs GMAT?
2)Are there any schools which dont accept GRE?

Thank you so much.

1) I don't think there are any disadvantages per say with choosing GRE over GMAT. They are both admissions exams. Most importantly, u gotta find out which schools U want to apply to and see if they accept the GRE/GMAT.

2) yes there are schools that accept only gre for some programs and only gmat for some programs. Figure out which schools/programs u want to apply to and check if they accept the exam of your choice.

Most US schools with accept the GRE. Even if it isn't listed on their website you can usually get it taken if you email the adcoms.

I'd take whichever you are most comfortable with. That being said, if you are indifferent, I would recommend the GMAT since every school takes that.

If English isn't your native language I have read that the GMAT is easier. Food for thought.
