Hi Everyone,

New to this forum. Wanted to ask you all whether applying on a GRE score of 1350 is too low for Ross? Please help want to apply to R2, do you all suggest I give the GMAT and apply next year?

Thanks in advance!!

The GRE -> GMAT converter that ETS has on their website puts that at about a 660, so yeah, you're a bit on the low side, but by no means too low to apply. The split probably also matters too. If you have a Q800 V550 then that's a lot different than a Q550 V800 and each one requires a different application strategy.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply! I am extremely sorry misstyped, my score is 1380 so 680 (GMAT). I know it probably does not change things a whole lot. But really appreciate your help! Also, wanted to know if you have any insight on whether the schools treat a GRE applicant any different that a GMAT one? If so, do you suggest that I give the GMAT next year and then apply?

No idea how schools treat GMAT vs. GRE, general sentiment seems to be that the GRE is given a bit less weight, but I haven't really seen anything official to prove that, so it strikes me more as hearsay. The equivalent of a 680 is certainly strong enough to put you in the mix. The rest of your application probably needs to be pretty much airtight though. Also, as I said, the difference between a Q800 V680 and Q680 V800 is important. Not sure what your split was, but a depending on your Q percentile, you may need to address your ability to handle the rigor of the program.
