Hi, everybody!
I took my first official GMAT exam in the beginning of March, after 4-5 months of study, and scored an 720. I took it online and had a few technical issues in the beginning, and even though 720 was a good score, I was quite frustrated since I had scored 750-770 in the official mock tests. Since the technical issues at the beginning left me a little nervous and I began the exam with the verbal section, my verbal score took quite a hit: V39, Q50. I usually scored around 40-42 in the verbal section.
During March/April I took 2 weeks off (1 for relaxing, 1 because of covid) and then went back to study. I revisited everything and studied really hard, and in the last 2 weeks I did 8 mock tests from
Experts Global, scoring between 740-760 in most of them. Yesterday I retook the exam and I was really relaxed and focused, followed all the instructions and communicated with the proctor during breaks. Before the breaks, I always showed front/back of my whiteboard. After the breaks, I showed front/back of the whiteboard again and I did a 360 tour around the office, showing my table space, under the table and everything... The proctor didn't raise any issue during these moments.
After the exam ended, I was really happy - the unofficial score was 770 (V47, Q49), with IR 8. It was, honestly, higher than I was expecting! My goal was a 750 score.
When I was reorganizing my desk space, which was empty apart from my notebook + whiteboard + passport + glass of water, I completely froze. There was a post it on my wall, in front of the desk, during the whole time - I've had it in this wall for so long (over a year) that I >completely< forgot about it. It's similar to this one:
