If you get a tough DS question and you have no choice but to guess, are C and E usually wrong?
How about if you don't understand Q1 but can understand Q2, how would you increase your odds of guessing it right? Use ACE/BD elimination process as taught by TPR "Cracking GMAT" book?
Thanks!

1) i don't believe in guessing on quant. unlike verbal where there might be two answers with very close meaning or subtle differences - in quant there is always one clear correct answer, and 4 clear wrong answers.
2) the basic guessing method would be eliminate what you are sure is not true. then guess from the rest.... there are no more common or less common answers.
3) in DS it would be easier to eliminate wrong answers if you know part of the answer - i.e. if you can decide if st1 or st2 are suff/insuff:
- if st1 is suff but know nothing about st2 answr is A or D
- if st2 is suff but you know nothing about st1 answers os B or D
- if st1 is insuff but you know nothing about st2 answers are B,C,E
- if st2 is insuff but you know nothing about st1 answers are A,C,E
- if you are sure that both are suff, but not sure each one alone, answer is Cor D
