Hi Abhishake4 - I found out at about 9 am today (PST) that I got in through a phone call from my interviewer. I wanted to answer your second q for all admits - yes, I had received an email last weekend from a student.

I was a R2 applicant.

Hahaha, I would stoop to any level to call them and find out the result and get it over with! However, I doubt they will tell you over the phone :)

Disheartening - I was WL in 2013 and no phone call so far for 2014. The agony continues!

I think they started calling admitted students ~ 3 hours before they did last year (~ noon) and continued calling until next day. I believe they will keep calling atleast until EOB today. But again it's all speculation in the end.

PS: Too early for hoping against hope. :)

just spoke w dir of admission, i'm in. r2 candidate, no follow up email from current student, math proficiency says complete online.

Got a call from Julia at 12:50 PM pacific time...just when I had lost hopes and was driving for lunch..so don't lose hope people..I checked last year's forum and they called all day on the 27th march and then also on the decision day (28th march)
