I'm in! I got the call 30 minutes ago from my 2nd interviewer, Cecile.

I applied in R3, one hour before the deadline, with my 2nd LOR not coming in for weeks after that (I even interviewed before that my recommender submitted his LOR). Congrats to those who've gotten the call; positive thoughts to those still waiting.

Hi all
I have been a non responsive lurker on this list. Just wanted to update atleast for once that I just got a call for being admitted.
I was a R2 waitlisted applicant. I had applied last year as well and was rejected.

Good luck to those still awaiting calls and congrats to those who got in.

Waitlist suggestions:
get 3rd letter of reco and also get others to send letters of support if possible

My profile:
Software engineer at networking giant in San Jose. Total workex: 8 yrs. Bachelors in Engg from India and MS in CS from the US.

don't give up hope! The day isnt over and if they have to fill 100+ spots (based off of the fb members of 100 people and a class of 250), that's a lot of calls to make.

I would guess that there's no order. I've read in this forum and previous year's forums that they keep calling throughout the day, all the way to close of business. I've also read at least one anecdote about a candidate who didn't receive a call but was nonetheless confirmed as accepted online on the official decision day. There's still hope!

I remember reading that statuses for R1/R2 decisions were updated around 10:30 on decision morning.
