Congrats! Good luck! I thought you were in USA. Are you planning to move here? I actually applied EWMBA only. Hoping to hear something soon.
I believe they will accommodate your request for phone interview or with alumni.
I created a similar thread in business week forums. Couple of applicants got interview invites as well.
Do you know if your status changed directly from "reviewable" to "invited to interview" or it went into "Review In Progress" prior to your interview invite.

Re: location- I'm American, born and raised in Kansas of all places, but have been in Taiwan since October 2009 on a developmental rotation with my firm. I'll be moved back to the States in July 2011, to either San Francisco or Chicago... destination partially dependent on the result of my B-school apps. But if I get into schools in both cities, the company probably gets to make the final choice.
Per your question about application status, I'm honestly not sure. Between a crazy work schedule and coming down with a nasty bug this weekend I haven't been monitoring too closely the past week and a half.

Wow! that's great. So you are on a job rotation in China. I think it is a big plus for your resume to show some international experience. How do you like working in China? Are you in IT?
I got an update today that my Math & Statistics pre-requisites are complete. I am not sure whether I will get a call for interview. What are the other schools did you apply?

) I actually work in a niche area of finance/economic consulting with a Big 4 accounting firm, which I love. The work experience has been really eye opening, because even in Taiwan, which has a capitalistic, open market, there are HUGE differences in educational approaches and backgrounds that really contribute to a different work environment. I really wasn't expecting it to be this different, especially within one big global organization that's structured the same way worldwide, you know? It has been a really valuable experience, both personally and professionally, and provided me with great essay fodder
