Hi all,
I need to decide between UC Berkeley Haas, where I was admitted with a 40k$ scholarship, and Booth, where I was admitted without any money.
I have a tech background having worked in a fast-growing startup in Europe.
Post MBA, I would love to do VC, but I know it is an extremely competitive field. I talked with a Booth alumni, who told me about the advantage that she experienced thanks to the flexible curriculum, which allowed her to take plenty of related courses in the first semester so she could ace her internship interviews. That certainly looks like an advantage for Booth, but I don´t know how to compare it against Haas location in the Bay Area. Any thoughts?
Since VC is extremely competitive, I am also considering careers in consultancy (MBB) and corporate sector jobs (tech, telcos or utilities). But if I ended up following any of these options, I would prefer to return to Europe. Here again, Booth seems to have a stronger network in Europe and in plenty of sectors, but given my interest in tech, I am not sure if it is a better option than Haas.
Regarding the scholarship money, it is not a decisive factor for me, but I am considering approaching Booth to try to reconsider my application. I would love to have some advice on this point.
Thanks everyone in advance!
Best,
