Stacy Blackman Consulting (SBC) MBA Applicant Survey provides insight into this year's MBA Applicant trends. The infographic below explores the findings from the survey.
Few key points:- Majority of applicants are still applying for top US schools, despite raising concerns over the US political climate
- 75% of applicants surveyed indicate that the reputation for an MBA from the US is stronger than a non-US MBA. In addition, the US programs are thought to have stronger professional networks and their career path will be accelerated with an MBA from the US.
- 52% of respondents indicated that they used an Admissions Consultant, compared to 72% of applicants applying to top 10 business schools in the US that reported using a consultant.
- Compared to the 2017 SBC Survey, interest in the finance career path decreased by about 5% and interest in the technology career path increased by about 5%. Nonprofit/ social impact and entrepreneurship interest also increased since last year.
