I just received my worst verbal score by a country mile and I'm really at odds for why.
I took my first GMAT in October of 2019 and scored a 590 (36V 35Q) and my second June of 2020 and scored a 630 (35V 41Q).
I took the online GMAT this last weekend, had plenty of problems logging in and getting started, and ended up scoring a 560 (24V 43Q).
Yes, you read that right. Math has always been a struggle and I finally achieved a quant score that would get me into my desired business school. Verbal? Somehow, somehow I scored in the 34th percentile. Mind you, I've taken 30+ practice tests over the last year. Not once has my quant score been remotely close to my verbal, and my worst verbal score ever was like a 32 or 33. I CONSISTENTLY am getting 36+ on every practice test.
I finished the online GMAT expecting to see a much higher verbal score, I thought that I'd did pretty well to be honest. I'm honestly crushed. I'd worked so hard on that quant score and somehow, someway got the worst verbal score BY FAR of my life. Like not even close. I want to think it's a total fluke? Someone please give me some words of encouragement or something because I'm being honest when I say this is the most confused I've ever been/probably the lowest I've ever felt in my academic career.
