Having official Haas representation on GMATClub?

Question

Alright everyone. After talking to a Haas buddy of mine who is working with the Haas admissions student team (involving mentors, Haas Student Ambassadors and the VP of admissions in the Haas MBA Association) and mentioning our tight-knit group here, he asked if we would be interested in having the current VP of Admissions, Morgan ("Ask Morgan" on BW forums) participate in the Haas thread here on GMATClub.

I told him I would ask the group since I'm not sure if that would discourage people from posting more honestly about any Haas shortcomings since people may be afraid of the "official" presence of a Haas person here (as compared to having naturallight or braindancer whom we all know from the 2006-7 process), or if it would encourage more people to ask candid questions.

So yeah, please vote or express your concerns and we can talk about it. I told him another way could be to have me or naturalight/braindancer read some of the Haas threads here and report back some improvements and constructive criticisms.

My only concern would be that the thread would devolve into some of the 'please evaluate me' type threads present on BW. Those don't do much to help anyone.

I think that those types of threads would be great additions to this place. Maybe if they make the new forum for talking to current students and stuff they can also put a subforum for asking specific schools' adcoms. We might be able to arrange more schools next year. We can have a single rule no profile evals allows in that forum at all, whether its adcoms or students/admits no asking what your chances are.

I think this can probably be combined with the suggestion in the "Quarterly Report" thread that we have a separate forum/sub-forum with GMATClub ambassadors from each school. Then maybe each of us can find our school's respective "official" ambassadors to help answer questions.

If people want normal (non consultant folks) to give feedback they can post their profile in the member profile area (once they earn access) and ask for feedback there.

Let's see if we have any other comments for the next few days and if Praet sets up the "ambassadors" forum before I ask the Haas Ambassador (Morgan) if she has time to follow 2 threads (BW and here). She may not have time in the end, but it's worth a try.
