Issue 1: Doris Lessing .... doesn't contain a helping verb such as 'is' or 'was' (because the modifier having .... should be of the construction -- having done X, Doris did Y ) Issue 2: will likely be is a split infinitive.
The construction is erroneous (as seen in 1), you cannot correct it, in the given context using Having ... construction.
