what's the ideal gpa for HBS 2+2/Stanford GSB deferred if you're a liberal arts major?

econ/international studies, minor in sciences- honors program at a top 50 school

Is a 3.9 okay, especially if you went abroad to China at a school known for grade deflation? (All A's at my home university aside from B's at the abroad school- chose to travel instead of study tbh, and took difficult Cantonese Language courses)

GMAT of 750

Say you have really impressive internship experience, a compelling/unique narrative etc, would this GPA work?

Hello viola1313 yes of course 3.9 would work. It would be a dark day that 3.9 is not considered good enough esp from a tough school. I mean come on, are you serious? Is this on a 4.0 scale?

If anything, would bump up your GMAT 10 points if you have the time and ability because that is where you might face some stiff competition if overreprepresented; are you Chinese?

The stats are a piece of the picture but do your best to articulate a compelling leadership narrative for the main essay. This is where they become attached to you, or you remain a statistic to them.

MBAPrepCoach thank you- I didn't know if a top 50 school was considered hard, especially seeing as I'm getting a BA and not a BS, I'm just worried that the provided GPA data may be skewed lower online since a lot of 2+2 applicants are from STEM fields. Didn't see point of studying 24/7 instead of traveling thru Asia and giving up that experience though!

I'm a s. asian-american woman and probably can't afford to take the GMAT again sadly. My extracurriculars/internships/story are my strongest part so hopefully that will help!
