Hi, can you please evaluate my profile for HBS 2+2, Wharton, Stanford, Kellogg, Booth, Columbia deferred admissions program for the next yr application cycle. I am a lil skeptical of my odds since Ik the deferred applicant pool is super competitive but would love to know abt the same
Indian Female Science Graduate , 21 years
Undergrad : One of top DU colleges (Mathematics (2018-21))
Postgrad : PGP (eq to MiM) in one of top 5 Indian B-schools (2021-23)
Other Education :Winter School in Max Planck Institute Germany (conducted in India)
GMAT:740 (Q50, V41, IR 8)-Willing to improve this
Undergrad GPA: 9.05/10
International Exposure: Childhood in Middle East, Summer School at LSE
Languages known: 5 (can speak fluently in 3)
Leadership Roles: Founded a capability development Startup, was office bearer in debating society and consulting club in college. 5-6 other minor event-based leadership roles in school and college
Community involvement: Selected Millennium Fellowship by UN, Volunteered in 3-4 long-term social work programs in college
Internships: Investment Bank intern in a reputed firm(2 months) and IIM Bangalore summer Intern (1 month)

You have a great profile and should be at least a candidate for all of these programs. I don't think you need to retake the GMAT, though if you have time and don't mind the time/cost associated with a retake, by all means have at it. You have nothing to lose.

The key for you is how you are going to pull all your accomplishments and career goals into one standout narrative. It's great to be high achieving but what makes for a successful deferred MBA applicant is the "story" and what helps make you different from the pack.

These are all uber competitive programs and so there's really no one way to say with certainty if you would get into all or any of them. It's wise to apply to a wide range and reserve the normal MBA application process in a few years as a backup.
