HBS sends me its newsletter twice a month. In the last letter they stated:

"Round 1 - Process Update
Our admissions process is officially underway with the passing of the Round 1 submission deadline on October 12th. We would like to take this opportunity to provide our Round 1 applicants with a brief process update:

As we review applications, we will start inviting candidates to interview. We expect the first interview invitations to be sent out in early November. We will continue to offer interview invitations up until the Round 1 decision notification date. Please note that the timing of your interview invitation does not imply anything about the status of your application nor does it impact your candidacy.
Should you be invited by the Admissions Board to interview, you will receive an e-mail with the subject line: "HBS Interview Invitation."
All Round 1 admissions decisions will be available on the Apply Yourself website at noon on Wednesday, January 17th, 2007. All Round 1 applicants will receive an e-mail reminder from HBS on the 17th directing you to the Apply Yourself website to view your decision."
