Well, let him send it of his own will, without your involvement. I don't know that it will be extremely helpful, but as a former HBS alum, who is CEO, it's not bad.

thanks! so you're of the belief then that having a recommender send in a letter would not be viewed by HBS as breaking the "no additional materials" rule? good to hear your perspective
