HBX Core has two options on their website:
* credential-only ($1,950)
* undergraduate credit ($3,600)

What is the difference between the two options? Curriculum, content, exam are all exactly the same.
Does the credit-only option not give out a transcript that I can submit to B-schools? Which option would be better to overcome a low undergraduate GPA (trying to build an alternative transcript)?

Well

* credential-only ($1,950) - generally used to show you can handle a business or analytical class, more so for an MBA application, just make sure this class provides an actual grade
* undergraduate credit ($3,600) - this is as it says for credit towards a degree bearing programs

For your needs it seems like the credential-only option makes sense for you
