An article from today's NYT talks a bit about the Obama plan too: https://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/04/opinion/04gruber.html

per the article, seems that the non-clinical healthcare jobs will be in the tech sector and quality/cost improvements.

Thanks for posting the link!

I think that article might be overstating things a bit. Health care is a pretty big area. Most people specialize in some aspect of it (biotech, hospitals, insurance, etc). Health care as a whole might be growing, but a lot of those areas are hurting right now.

And I wouldn't say that Obama will necessarily improve things. A lot of his proposals won't make things any easier for biotech or insurance companies.

RF

I also agree with this statement. Obama is for Preventive Healthcare, which implies reducing healthcare by preventing people from needing healthcare. Which is sort of crazy to begin with.

I don't know what's crazy about that? Going to the doctor routinely to stay in health and prevent any major complications instead of waiting 10 years and going when the problem has deteriorated to the point that the treatment has grown exponentially.

I also believe the fact with this declaration, barack obama's for Precautionary Medical care, which indicates reducing healthcare by avoiding people from requiring healthcare, Which is sort of insane to begin with.....
