Hi
zichz,
you can choose any topic you prefer. But I always recommend choosing one that:
- you feel comfortable with
- you know well
- you are passionate about
- is connected or relevant to your application
Keep in mind that what your interviewers will be assessing is your communication skills and whether you put some effort into putting together the presentation. So the topic per se is not what's most important.
In my personal case, when I interviewed with HEC Paris back in the day, I chose a topic from my extra-curriculars because I felt very passionate about it, and it was a big part of my undergrad years. But my clients have chosen all kinds of topics (e.g. some successful project at work, an analysis of the market they want to work in after their MBA, sports they played professionally, etc ...).
I hope this helps.
Thank you very much and best of luck with your interviews.
Warm regards
Alex
