Why are you applying to the HEC MBA Program now? What is the professional objective that will guide your career choice after your MBA, and how will the HEC MBA contribute to the achievement of this objective? (500 words)
You have already described what you want to do in the online application. Use this space to expand upon the role and give rationale for your choices. What do you aspire to achieve in your career? what motivation will guide you? An easy way to look at that might be the signs from your past. What objectives have guided your past career choices?
Ideally both MBA and your short-term goals will lead smoothly into your long-term goal. Things might change, life might change and you might end up somewhere else but assuming few basics of your career path will stay the same- the logic of why MBA and why HEC should clearly connect with your long-term career aspirations.
'Why now' should be addressed concisely giving reasons deriving from your personal or professional aspects of life.
What do you consider your most significant life achievement? (250 words)
This essays seeks to know your character and personality. Think about the times in your life when you have been most proud of your accomplishments, usually these would be the most significant achievements in your life.
If there are a couple of different achievements you can talk about, look at what qualities and traits led you to become successful for each. Are these the qualities that make you a strong candidate for HEC? Are these the qualities that you want to share with the adcom? If so, then you know what accomplishment to talk about.
Give the context of the situation, describe what you thought, act, did and what was the outcome. As you reminisce, think about why this is the most important achievement and bring that out clearly in your essay.
