Hi!

I'm terribly confused. I've been accepted at both WHU - Otto Beisheim and HEC Paris.
I know HEC is way higher in the rankings, and it is more renowned internationally, but the thing is WHU is offering me a 50% tuition scholarship for my high GMAT score (720) while HEC is not offering me any.

I plan to study either French/German before the program start in September, although I'm more inclined to French as I already speak a little of the language. I am South-East Asian (Thai) with tight visa restrictions, so I plan to take advantage of the post study visas in either France or Germany.

So my real question is if HEC is really worth the 30,000-ish difference or should I go for WHU? How is WHU perceived in Europe?

Thanks ahead!

Take a look at starting salaries for each school and see if there's a difference. Then calculate the trajectory of your lifetime earnings if you graduate from one school vs. the other.

WHU is paying you to go to their school because they need to pay you to go to their school. I'm personally much more on the side of going to a higher ranked school that will give you access to different circles for a lifetime then focusing on the here-and-now tuition difference. I think it's really kind of a weird way to make a decision personally.

I'm really not quite sure why you're going to either of these schools with a 720 GMAT on your side.
