HEC Paris master's in management 2014 intake

Question

Hi everyone,

I have noticed that there is not yet a thread for this year's MiM programme at HEC. Already having been accepted in the autumn session, I am keen to meet prospective class mates. So, if you are in in the same position or have any other questions, give me shout.

Got an admission offer from HEC yesterday (I applied in R2)! I was delighted, of course.

I also got into ESCP and I'm waitlisted for EMLyon... 85% chance I choose HEC though.

Hey guys!

I got accepted in Round 2 as well, and they sent me an email saying they "created a personal access to your admitted student space with all information on your future studies at HEC", but with no link or indication where this student space might be. Anyone care to help?

It is odd if you didn't get it though. I got it in a second email. Maybe it'll come a bit late (though why the delay, I can't say).

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all doing well! I recently got invited to the interview for the HEC MiM program. While the invitation e-mail gives some information about the content and questions (general interest for current business affairs, academic background and motivation), maybe some of you guys who have already had their interview could provide some tips on how to best prepare and what questions to specifically expect? Would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there mieuw,

First place I'd look is right here - >  MIM Interview Experience

The forum there itself is quite useful - the fellow who runs it answers regularly and helpfully.

Secondly, for my part, I'd say be ready to answer any question that might be derived from what you put into your application file. What I mean is: you could be asked about your extracurricular activities or any international experiences you might have had, or your opinion on some current event. I got asked about my experience in Central Europe as an intern, and about one of the sports I put in extracurriculars and how it helped me grow as a person, if at all.

There really is no set list of questions, mind you - just be calm and answer confidently and honestly and you should be cool. I came out the interview feeling a bit unsure about how I did, though fairly certain I had presented myself honestly and cogently, and turns out I did really well.

Hi together,

I have also been admitted to the MiM 2014 intake. I recently got the Housing Office's brochure in which the different kinds of rooms are described. In my opinion a shared apartment would be perfect. However, one has to find a roommate to apply for this sort of room. Is anyone interested in sharing a room with me on campus? I'd love to skype with whoever is interested. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Saracenn wrote a pretty accurate description of what to expect a few posts above mine. Personally, I recommend not to stress too much about the interview and to be self-confident, but at the same time humble. My interview was basically a friendly conversation that lasted 20 minutes with typical questions such as "Why France?", "Applied anywhere else?", in-depth questions about my CV. Hope that helps and good luck!
