Hi, I am a finance professional working with Private Equity and Investment Banking clients all across the world for the last 5 years. I have received an admit from IESE (with EUR 30k scholarship) and HEC Paris (with EUR 10k scholarship). Post my MBA I plan to work in the Investment Banking field in Europe. I have already paid the initial deposit fee of EUR 10k for IESE as I received the admit earlier than HEC.
I understand that there is a scholarship difference but the IESE fees is also EUR 10k higher than HEC. I have read mixed comments in the earlier blogs so would appreciate if someone could help me out in relation to my specific field. I want to understand if its worth skipping IESE for HEC considering the additional scholarship from IESE as well as the EUR 10k deposit already paid.
Thanks in advance for all the help.
ShivangiKapoor hope this finds you well
Regardless of which school you choose, as a non-native MBA graduate in the EU-UK, you will focus on pursuing IB opportunities in London as that is how things typically work. It would be helpful to familiarize yourself with the job prospects at both schools for opportunities in the UK (MBA treks etc.) and consider having a backup plan such as consulting. Recent feedback from alumni suggests that IESE has had slightly better outcomes in consulting compared to HEC. To make an informed decision, it would be wise to speak with the career center representatives from both schools.
Best wishes
