Hi mariachiarafico,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you studied for just 2 months, then that might simply have not been enough time to hone all of the skills needed to score at a higher level.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for your Official GMAT? Did you take your Exam at a Test Center or through the At-home option?
2) Over the last 2 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) Is your overall goal score a 600 or something else?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

If you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

I've recently took my gmat and scored a horrible 470.

Here's someone who started from a 420 base and ended up with a balanced 730. They mention a variety of resources and tips you may quickly leverage. Because you are looking for a 600+ and are starting out at 470, you may possibly get there quicker.

1) I took the exam at a test center. Unfortunately, because of my anxiety, when I viewed the score I immediately cancelled it without giving a look at the results. I wasn't really thinking, I just didn't want to give another look at that score.

2) I studied for 6/7 hours each day in the afternoon, because in the morning I attend to university's courses.

3) I've studied from a book and a question bank provided by a course that I took in September.

4) I took my very first official gmat mock at the beginning of October (that I took under unrealistic conditions), then I took another one after one month (got a
600 with Q41 and V31). In the mean time, I took others 2 non-official tests.

5) I would love to reach a 650, but given the time frame I don't know if it's possible. Because of this, anything from 600 to 650 would be great.

6) I'm planning to apply as soon as I've given my gmat. Applications close on 1st of May, but I need to apply as soon as possible because of other circumstances. I wanted to apply to the university of amsterdam for a master in Business Administration. Others universities I'm applying to do not explicitly require a gmat (such as Rotterdam Erasmus University).
