Education
  • 10th grade: 10 points (100%)- State Board of Andhra Pradesh
  • 12th grade: 9.23 points (87.685%) - State Board of Andhra Pradesh
  • B.Tech: Mechanical & Automation Engineer from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) - 8.01 CGPA

Work ex (Current)
  • ITC Limited (Assistant Manager, New Generation Products- Tobacco division)- 15 months
  • I head a team of 15 people at work in the roles of R&D and small scale production. I'm also currently overseeing projects which has a lot of stakeholder management with Marketing teams, Scientists and Foreign clientele- I plan on highlighting these points in my essays.

Internships:
  • Tata Steel- Summer intern (Areas of work- Maintenance and R&D)- 2 months
  • ITC limited- GET Summer intern - 2 months- PPO offered
  • Flipkart - NEEV Supply chain management intern- 5 months- PPO offered

Extra Curriculars:
  • Delegate at HPAIR (Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations)- 2 months
  • Active volunteer and College head at Visionaries- Society for the Blind
  • IIT Madras Tech Fest Shastra - Tech Ideathon, All India top 5 qualifier
  • Creative & Planning team Head for college tech fest
  • Art director in college Art & Cultural soc
  • Been part of other college clubs like TEDx , College All Terrain Vehicle making team
  • School level achievements: Won in many Inter-school quiz competitions (organized by Maggi, Bourn Vita ,Vodafone, Yippee) , Drawing competitions (organized by Tata Steel, The Tagore Society) , Spell bee winner Vijayawada city (organized by Sakshi TV)

Please Note: I have started my GMAT prep a month ago and am getting a score of around ~605 . I plan on improving my scores in the coming months.
Queries: Approximately how much should I score in order to be in the competitive pool? Also..as the deadline for PGP YL for round 1 is in Dec 14th , if I am unable to achieve a good GMAT score should I wait and apply for Round 2? Any other suggestions regarding Essays would also be very helpful.

You should look at improving your score to 675+ and if you are unable to do so, it would make sense to push your application to the second round.

You have a number of talking points in your profile; choosing the most impactful stories that highlight your core strengths will be crucial so focus on doing so alongside your GMAT prep.

Hi, I don't have any fixed study schedule for GMAT. I am also not taking any coaching. I'm just referring to video lectures on Youtube to strengthen by fundamentals and practicing questions from GMAT CLUB question bank. On weekends I'm taking mock tests. But as you saw in my post. I'm scoring around ~585-605 and I have a long way to go in terms of score. So, I don't think I'm the best person to advice on the study plan :')
