Hi,

I am going to take gmat test in a week and I am generally scoring in the range of 600-650 . My weak areas are Data sufficiency and Sentence correction. Can anyone pls help how I can improve these two areas in a week. Plus any advice on how to go about for AWA.

A few things to keep in mind on the test day:

1. Do not think about the final score at any point of time
2. Once done with a section forget about it and concentrate on the next one.
3. Take both the breaks. It helps you to freshen up
4. Take a note of the time when you are out for break. Do not exceed the break
5. Do not rush through the last 5 questions in the verbal sections in a bid to see your final score
6. Make sure you complete the section. There is a high penalty for not completing the test.

To improve in the SC section, try to solve a question in the following fashion:

1. Find out the subject and the verb
2. See that the S&V agree in number
3. Look out for the modifiers
4. Look out for parallelism
5. Look out for usage of certain words - such as vs like, few vs less etc.

Also, I would recommend you to solve only official questions in the last week.
