HI mkarthik1,
This type of a score drop almost always means that you've been taking these CATs in an unrealistic way (especially the early ones), so I have some questions about your studies so far:
When you took your CATs:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you take any of these CATs more than once?
You really MUST answer EVERY question in each section - any questions that you do not get to are 'penalized', so the resulting score drop is actually worse than if you had just 'guessed' and gotten those questions wrong. As such, those 14 unanswered questions on your last CAT would have reduced your score considerably.
As far as your overall studies are concerned:
1) How long have you been studying?
2) What is your goal score?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
