Hi, I am a second year student in India pursuing a 3 year degree in BBA specialising in Accounts and Finance. My GMAT score is 710. Although I am little weak on the academic front (Till now my GPA has been ranging from 2.6-2.8) and my extra curriculars are also quite average. I still have 3 semesters left ahead of me. How much more should I do and what more should I do to secure a seat in Duke's Full Time MBA class of 2018? I still have work experience left and am aiming for one of the Big 4 (Deloitte, PWC, KPMG and E&Y). I am hoping to get a work experience of 2 years before I apply to any school. Also, I will pursue ACCA or CPA (professional accounting degrees) or both for making my finance knowledge stronger (and making up a little for my low GPA in the past semesters). So any suggestions/advice/remark would be highly appreciated

I would say do as well as you can in these final semesters!! That GPA could use some boosting.
Also consider community involvement/volunteering. Then yes you'll need some solid work experience; the average accepted applicant at top schools has 5 years FT experience after graduating.... I'd say at least 3 before matriculating is an un-official common minimum. Also spend some time doing research in the coming years-- in prep for your career goals and long term plans, and also research on specific schools. Good luck and keep us posted!
