I just had my first Knewton online class tonight. I was very pleased with how it went. I finally was able to realize what I have been doing wrong for some time on the quant side of the test. I am not setting up equations.
For instance, when I come across a GMAT problem either through study or on a CAT, I approach the question improperly. I try and and attack the question as if it was purely conceptual. In other words, I try to do a lot of the work in my head by picturing a real world situation instead of setting up a math equation to solve the problem.
I would like to get more core practice in setting up equations and answering world problems outside of blasting away at GMAT problem after GMAT problem.
Any one have any recommendations?
