Howdy,
I am an Industrial Distribution Engineering major going into my senior year of undergrad. I plan on beginning my MBA in Fall 2018. I know this isn't the norm for most MBAs but I want to break the standards and begin immediately.
I studied abroad and performed research on the implementation of an e-platform in China and Hong Kong in the commodity and specialty chemicals businesses.
I interned with an electrical supply distribution center as an operations assistant/special projects for 8 months.
I am currently interning as a sales and service intern in the abrasives and blasting industry. I am performing sales/service calls, visiting with vendors and training over their products we sell, and developing projects within the branch to improve distribution and efficiency processes.
Again, it isn't much work experience, but I want to put this behind me and take charge of my career.
I plan on having my test completed by mid-April 2018. That gives me just short of 300 days. I also want to study 300-400 hours. It may seem like much to some, and to some it may seem too little. This is just my plan from my research.
Thoughts on starting so early?
Do I need a higher score to compensate for my current GPA and little work experience?
Best material prep book(s)?
Is 300 hours ample study time?
While it is entirely dependent on various factors, a 700+ is a reasonable and achievable goal, correct?
Thanks in advance for your responses!
Hi jsshoesmith!
Not much information for a short answer. What is your GPA? How many years of work experience? 300 hours for a year?
